My
experience on this island will never be forgotten. I now will appreciate those
in charge of our country and respect how hard it is. I was only governing
around 30 kids and lost most of them. The government is governing millions of people
and keeps 99% of them safe. I can never express how grateful I am to have had this
experience. It has taught me so much about how to lead my life in the future
and that I will always keep a conch in my room now. I also was excited to see
the inside of the naval ship. It was very interesting due to that I have always
loved boats. So I hope that in the future I can stay safe and off of naval
ships though.

What
a past couple of days. I can’t believe that I fell into the peer pressure and
was even associated with the group of boys that killed Simon. Second of all, I’m
dumbfounded how Piggy thinks that it wasn’t us. But I am so hurt that my first
friend on the island is now dead. Its unimaginable to me how he must have fell
all the way off the cliff and felt every second until he hit the ground, Its
all Jack’s fault. He is the one that started the separation of the kids
stranded on the island. Then he had the audacity to charge me and throw his
spear at me. I can’t believe him; I’m down in the dumps and need things to turn
around fast. I have lost all my best friends in Simon, Piggy, and now Sameric. I’m
beginning to lose hope of being rescued.

I had a rough day today. The fire in
the airplane went out and I had no control over it. Jack and the hunters gave
me their word that they would keep it going. However they failed. They were solo
preoccupied with their blood lust that they couldn’t keep it going. Also they
had to get their paint face and spears just right and couldn’t keep an eye on
the fire. Then Jack had the wherewithal to slap Piggy in the face! But it gets
worse. He didn’t even bother to apologize. Strike one, two, and three.

I
thought I was dead at impact. I didn’t know that I was alive until I saw the
crack of light through the broken plane. Never had I been so excited to be
woken up by light shining on my eyes. At least I thought. I got up and walked
around, pushing away creepers and sifting my way through the jungle. I notice
one other kid like me walking through the jungle just like me, although, he
wasn’t like me at all. He was big, fat, and couldn’t keep up due to his
wheezing. I went up to him and asked him what his deal was and he told me he
had asthma, and inferred that his obesity is due to his inability to
breath. Both of us gathered all the kids
on the island with a shell that made a really loud sound. It was so cool that
the only thing I had to do was purse my lips and breathe out really hard and it
made such a loud noise. To the sound, a lot of other kids came. One of them was
a jerk named jack. He was a bully and him and me were like oil and water, we
don’t mix. He challenged me with my authority for the alpha male position. I
didn’t like that at all. I was in charge, I ordered the troops, and I was doing
all the talking. For him to just come in and mess it all up wasn’t cool. But then
we all took a vote on who should be in charge. I got a majority of the votes so
I got the nod. Jack came in second, so I appointed him to the leader of the
hunting. I did this because I knew that we were going to be here for a while. I
knew that with the war going on, we weren’t a priority. Due to this, jack and
some other kids and I went out to hunt and explore. On our expedition, we found
an animal stuck in the creepers. He was just lying there jerking to get free. Jack
went to kill it, but hesitated and it got away. He then told us that he wouldn’t
do that again. We believed him and waited for what tomorrow would hold here in
the jungle.
